Kathleen Conway
Although I had an interest in swimming and gymnastics as a child, I was never really the ‘sporty’ type. I first joined a gym in my mid 20s to try and gain a healthier and fitter lifestyle. As a petite person (aka short), I wanted to feel strong and gain confidence in myself. Very quickly, and with the help of a PT, I learned that exercising wasn’t just running on a treadmill. I learned how to get the best from my gym experience and to keep my workouts interesting and fun, and feel confident in the gym. Aside from the obvious gains in becoming stronger and healthier, I discovered a community aspect to the gym and one of my favourite parts of being a gym member is getting to meet people who I wouldn’t necessarily come across in other walks of life.
In becoming a PT myself, I hope to give other people confidence and motivation to reach their objectives whether it be losing weight, building muscle or just feeling stronger. The gym doesn’t have to be scary or boring or feel like a chore. I want to help you discover a passion (or at least an appetite) for health and fitness and help you to achieve the best version of you, whatever your goals may be.
If you want help or support to take those first steps into the gym or need help to keep it interesting, stay motivated or find inspiration to achieve your goals, feel free to chat to me in the gym or drop me an email or text.
