Throughout my childhood and teens I competed at a high level in Karate and kickboxing but once I reached my twenties I lost all interest in fitness until after the birth of my second child. Over this period I had been overweight and underweight so I know how it feels to not like your body. It was a long road to get my fitness and strength levels back, I threw myself into hiit, metabolic conditioning, Crossfit and weight training and competed in and won my first bikini fitness show. Not only did I fall in love with fitness because of the changes I could physically see in my body but also because of how much better I felt and how much my confidence improved.
I’ve experienced first hand how making changes towards a healthier lifestyle can improve all aspects of your life, I am particularly passionate about weight training as this truly transformed the way I felt about my body and my relationship with food. I want to help women to see that lifting weights won’t turn you into a bodybuilder but it will improve your shape, metabolism and bone health.
