Dominick Buxton
I graduated as a Personal Trainer in 2009 and have been a studio instructor since 2008. Coming from a family of Studio Instructors and Personal Trainers I have spent most of my life raised on the knowledge of fitness professionals. I am a passionate mixed martial artist who has trained in various martial arts. Karate was my main love in which I studied for 15 years training from amateur all the way to professional fighting. And I have also spent eight years playing rugby.
This experience has given me a deeper insight into training and understanding of the pressures faced by regular gym goers and athletes alike. I maintain that everyone is stronger than they believe themselves to be and with a disciplined mind and a strong yet understanding trainer people can excel beyond what they thought was possible.
I began teaching group exercise when I was only 18 and graduated as a Les Mills Instructor by 19. I frequently taught classes throughout many mainstream health clubs and organisations, and have taught classes with 30 participants all the way to halls filled with over 300 participants. From this I have learnt brilliant interpersonal skills and an understanding of many walks of life through the people I have met.
I am extremely goal focused, and my expertise in body fat testing and postural assessments helps with this.
My sessions are sure to get you going, they are a challenge but the rewards definitely become apparent. The confidence you build with my training will propel you to the peak of your ability. I believe we are all capable of being winners and that it's my job to chip away the rough edges and with a little work mould you into the person you want to become.
