I care about the health and confidence of others and I make it a priority to help individuals achieve their goals.
I developed a passion for health of fitness after sustaining an injury that knocked my confidence and prevented me from competing in Athletics and Football. I therefore understand and can relate to those who attend the gym to build or regain confidence.
Prior to sustaining the injury, I represented the borough of Greenwich and England and received many awards while competing. I won an award for first place in the 2011 in the London Youth Games which was achieved by constant encouragement from my coach and perseverance. This made me realise the importance of encouraging and assisting others to reach their goals.
I began attending the gym more frequently after sustaining the injury. I found that I was able to regain my confidence in the gym environment and quickly realised that I have a passion for health and fitness. I also cared about the health and fitness of those around me and offered support to other gym members. During this time, I was able to rebuild my confidence and help build the confidence of fellow gym members.
I wanted to develop more knowledge on the physicality of the body and went on to study physical education at the University of Brighton. I most enjoyed the sport performance and the nutrition modules. This inspired me to write a dissertation about Supplementation in sport performance which required extensive research.
As well as spending time in the gym, and working in a gym as a fitness instructor, since the age of 17 I have been a coach for Charlton Athletic. Since working at Charlton Athletic, I have developed extensive knowledge on health and nutrition by working in the health department and being an advisor for the stop smoking programme.
