I have always enjoyed being active, taking part in all sports and generally just living a healthy lifestyle. For me the moment that impacted me the most was at 16, a close relative said and I quote: ‘You’ve finally grown into your body’. Following that statement I spent the next few years after being up and down with how I felt about myself, experiencing low self-esteem and a negative self image (social media doesn’t help). I tried so many diets, exercise programmes, detoxing supplements, and what it all came down to was this:
Goal-oriented exercise and improved relationships with food is the best way to build self-confidence and achieving your goals.
So simple yet 100% true! As you get fitter, stronger, you feel your confidence grow, you also benefit from the positive effects of regular exercise and good nutrition (less stress, more energy and better sleep).
We all have a starting point and it won’t be easy, but with my help and guidance you will be able to greatly improve your ability to accomplish your training goals, quicker, safer and with maximum benefits. The best thing about this is that the education/knowledge you will receive during sessions, can be used for a lifetime - remember fitness and healthy eating is for life.
