Coronavirus (COVID-19): All PureGym Clubs Temporarily Closed

At PureGym we remain committed to doing everything we can to continue supporting our members, colleagues and self-employed personal trainers during these challenging times. 

You may have seen in the press that the UK Government has advised that people should avoid gatherings and public places. In line with this, we have to temporarily close all clubs for [2 weeks] from [date].

All of our gyms are therefore temporarily closed for [2 weeks], from [date to date].

You will not be charged during this closure

You will not be charged during this period that our gyms are closed. We will take care of everything so there is nothing for you to do and we will confirm with you via email when the club is ready to open and you can access the gym again.

At PureGym, the health and safety of our members, colleagues and self-employed personal trainers is our no.1 priority. While the closure of our clubs is a difficult situation for us all, we will continue to do everything we can to help our members. While we are closed, we will work hard to ensure your club is clean, safe, and ready for your return. We are looking forward to welcoming you back.

We have a range of FREE resources available to help you maintain your health and wellbeing during this time:

FAQs

  • No - the UK Government has advised that people should avoid gatherings and public places. In accordance with this, we have temporarily closed all of our gyms across the UK for [2 weeks]. We'll be back open as soon as the government lets us know it's safe to do so.

  • Currently, we are set to close for [2 weeks] and reopen on [date]. However this could change, depending on the nature of the Coronavirus outbreak in the UK, and we will only reopen when it's safe to do so for our members, colleagues and self-employed personal trainers. We will confirm with you via email when your gym has reopened.

  • You will not be charged during this closure.

    We will take care of everything so there is nothing for you to do and we will confirm with you via email when the gym is ready to open and you can access the club again.

  • Please get in touch with your self-employed personal trainer directly. Lots of PTs are offering remote / virtual sessions during this time, so your sessions may still be able to go ahead.

  • There is no need for you to cancel your membership - you will not be charged during this period that our gyms are closed. We will take care of everything so there is nothing you need to do and we will confirm with you via email when the club is ready to open and you can access the club again

    If you still wish to cancel your Direct Debit membership, all you have to do is cancel your Direct Debit with your bank at least four working days before your next payment. However, please bear in mind you may be charged a joining fee if you want to rejoin the gym.

    If you have a paid in full membership and wish to cancel this, please call Member Services on 03444 770 005 and let them know you’d like to cancel. If you’re cancelling within 14 days, the full pro-rata amount will be refunded. After 14 days we’ll refund 50% of the pro-rata amount.

  • No. Whilst the gyms are closed no classes will run and the class timetable is suspended. The class timetable will be reopened when your gym reopens and we'll contact you when classes are ready to be booked again. 

  • You will not be charged during this period that our gyms are closed. If you have just made a payment, for the period of time the gym is closed, you will be credited this amount towards your next monthly payment, which will be reduced. Refunds will not be provided.
